Cross Stitch pattern Opulent Procession of Golden Princesses from Aladdin 1001 Arabian Nights Art Nouveau design style counted PDF chart 281
Based on Vittorio Zecchin’s 1914 opulent 30-meter-long (100-foot) series of a dozen canvases entitled “Le Mille e una Notta” (One Thousand and One Nights) depicting the procession of Aladdin and his fabulous, gift-bearing entourage of eastern princes and princesses, arriving to seek the hand of the Sultan’s daughter. These were commissioned for the dining room of the Hotel Terminus in Venice, but later, alas, scattered between diverse public and private collections. I have loved this piece for a very long time and though not a copy of the original is based on my take of how I thought it would look. This is a full coverage piece and uses metallic gold thread, it is quite a challenge (not a beginner piece) and can be suitable for tapestry.

THE CHART DOCUMENTS
Most charts are split in to four equal sections (larger charts into more sections, 6 , 9 and 12 pages) and enlarged onto A4 on 10×10 graph paper. To make stitching easier the first section is solid colour blocks, the second part the chart pale colour blocks with black symbols on the top (like in the magazines). The remainder of the pages are black and white symbols, simply pick the section which best suits your eyes (or your printer). The final page is the legend of the 6 strand colours showing the symbols. A separate Patternkeeper raw file is supplied with all charts which is also suitable for Stitch R-XP users.
Should you decide to buy this or any of my charts and you find a problem or you need different size, cloth size or thread manufacturer I would be more than happy to customise a chart for your needs. I am constantly updating and improving the charts over time and will keep you updated with any improvements I make.
